Understanding the Voice to Parliament

We welcome people in the Great Southern to join us in learning more about the Voice to Parliament, and the Uluru statement From The Heart.

We know there is confusion in local communities across Australia about the Uluru Statement From The Heart, the Voice to Parliament and the upcoming referendum. Join Thomas Mayo, Fred Chaney and local guest speakers for a conversation about what this could mean for Australia, and to have your questions answered. This is a free event, and everybody is welcome.

Thomas Mayo is a Kaurareg Aboriginal and Kalkalgal, Erubamle Torres Strait Islander man. He is a signatory of the Uluru Statement from the Heart and has been a leading advocate since its inception in May 2017.

Fred Chaney AO has been an enduring advocate for greater First Nations rights and representation. Fred was the founding co-Chair of Reconciliation Australia, an inaugural Board member of Reconciliation WA, and is a former Federal Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.
